Whats's your favourite TYPE of win?
And GARNISH me with examples.

1) Thrashing the opposition with no possibility of any outcome other than a win.
2) A win despite playing poorly and looking shit.
3) Coming from behind by pure passion and hard work.
4) Coming from behind by tactical changes by the manager.
5) Winning through adversity - having players sent off/ outfield player having to play in goal
6) Winning through the efforts of a single player who turned a game.

Playing well going ahead

Other team get back into it by unfair play or poor decision by ref.

Then last minute winner

Away comeback wins are the most satisfying

Or beating a top team at home, regardless of the type

Re: Whats's your favourite TYPE of win?
Must surely depend on who the opponents are.

I love sport when it isn't one sided, so winning in a belter of a game by the odd goal is always pleasing, especially after trailing at one point.

And then there are games when you're playing the likes of Spurs, Millwall and Chelsea where you want to win about 5-0.

Beating Spurs in the cup at WHL a couple of years ago was as gratifying as I'd known in a long time in the ground afterwards.

Brum away April '93.

1-0 down with about three mins left, two late goals by Brown and Bishop secured an unlikely win.

Which was nice.

Coming from behind away from home. That feeling when Maiga scored the winner to knock Spurs out the cup after we was losing 1-0 is up there with the best feelings from a game I was at.

I enjoyed that more than for argument sake when we beat Brighton 6-0. I like the close games with a late winner.

I have high blood pressure, so...

an early lead, followed by a quick second, followed by absolutely controlling the game and scoring many more to their none please.

Any win against the yid cunts. Also the " I told you so" win, where you just have a gut feeling we're going to beat someone and most people are fearing the worst.

Re: Whats's your favourite TYPE of win?
There are few greater feelings than being 1-0 down in a game, and the opposition goalkeeper taking 40 seconds for each goal kick and the opposition players tying their show laces before taking throw ins etc. Then all of a sudden we score 2 goals in 10 minutes and the keeper is then running around like a lunatic with the ground ironically jeering his new found sense of urgency.

Love those sorts of games. Southampton at home a few weeks ago was a bit like that.

Scoring a dodgy penalty in the last minute against sp*rs when they need to draw to qualify for the CL.

Re: Whats's your favourite TYPE of win?
a win where a team with a significantly lower payroll and/or talent puts together a better strategy and wins a highly competitive game through grit, determination, and team cohesion.

the opener against Arsenal, man city away, chelsea home, the double over Man U in 2006, 1998 world cup final, 2002 world cup opener France v. Senegal, US v. Portugal 2002 world cup, US v. Spain Confed cup 2009, 2004 euro cup finals,

A 1-0 home win against woeful opposition after a terrible performance and a lucky own goal... and booing the players off at half time and full time!
